Dell u2711 monitor windows 7 driver

I started doing this a few days ago. The monitor has powered up every time since then. I have exactly the same problem. Tried dl the u drivers and no luck startjjng the monitor up after a few hours of having it switched off. Note that other have posted this same issue on the web so its not an isolated incident. Th e monitor appesrs to not be aware the button has been used so can't go through it's POST procedures.

You just saved me. I honestly thought my u has suddenly given up the ghost - looking at possible replacement monitors - when I found this thread. Or should I be disappointed, since I saw a couple of screens that were pretty sweet?

Reading this thread I realized that I had turned it on about a week ago out of curiosity. Apr I know what you're thinking That's a problem with the monitor. If they don't work in only one port and does work in the other one, it would mean there is a fault with the USB port only.
