The Commission on Teacher Credentialing has stipulations and preconditions for the undergraduate curriculum in English Education. Universities deemed as subject matter approved programs in English to certify competency have met these requirements. Those students who enroll and finish a course of study in English at one of the CTC subject matter approved programs can receive a waiver to be exempt from taking the CSET.
